HOW WE WORK
As explained in our about us section all birds that come into Open Arms Parrot Rescue have a variety of different back grounds and arrive under many different circumstances. Some may have been through multiple homes, some may have been shown neglect and some may have been loved beyond belief.
Each bird that arrives to us is assessed on its suitability for future placements. We assess if each bird is tolerant towards children, other birds, other animals, men or woman and we work to place each bird with a home that is right for the bird itself. Some birds may need an experienced handler so to avoid many behavioural problems so we have many vigorous checks to ensure that your home is right for placement.
Once we have established what we think a suitable home would be, we will advertise our birds on our website on Our Birds page and also on our Facebook page @OpenArmsParrotRescue.
Our applications are simply and easy and can be made on the "Our Birds" Page. Any applications made without a homecheck will be discounted and deleted.
Homechecks are available on our plans and pricing page.
Open Arms Parrot Rescue does not adopt any birds, all of our birds are placed on a lifetime foster agreement subject to terms and conditions that are agreed at the end of the fostering process.

Each bird that arrives into Open Arms Parrot Rescue receives a complete veterinary health check and microchip.
